We are currently offering two non-stipendiary summer internships for the month of July 2013, at the Centre for Health, Law and Emerging Technologies, in the Department of Public Health at the University of Oxford.
HeLEX specialises in investigating the relationships between law, ethics, practice and governance in the area of emerging technologies in health. Our current research focuses on genomics with an emphasis on biobanks, privacy, data-sharing frameworks, global governance and translational research.
If successful, you would be working on a clearly defined project, under the supervision of Jane Kaye, doing background research as preparation for publications and you will have the opportunity to present your work.
This internship will give you experience of being part of a research team working in a world reknown institution and an understanding of the research process and publishing.
Previous interns have used their experience as the basis for successful applications to the bar or have gone on to do higher degrees in law or policy.
If you are interested, please send your CV and a short letter outlining 1) why you are applying 2) the skills that you would bring to the position and would hope to develop and 3)how this would fit in with your future career plans. These can be sent to Heather Griffinheather.email@example.com The closing date is the 17 May 2013.
We look forward to your applications!
