
The British Heart
Foundation Health Promotion Research Group is part of the Department of
Public Health of the University of Oxford and is core-funded by the
British Heart Foundation.
The overall aim for the Group is to carry out
research of the highest methodological quality that has the greatest
possible influence on public health policy and practice, as it
relates to the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
The Group’s research has three themes:
1. The burden of cardiovascular disease
2. The primary prevention of cardiovascular disease
3. The relationship between health promotion and environmental sustainability
